The facts about the carbon footprint left from transporting our coffins
Pandanus or Wild Pineapple is an environmentally friendly alternative to seagrass. Seagrass, a plant which grows in the coastal waters of East Africa, Southeast Asia and the Caribbean, provides shelter to many varieties of nursery fish. It is currently under threat from coastal development, dredging and urban expansion. Pandanus on the other hand is a prolific weed which grows rapidly on land even in adverse conditions. When woven it is almost indistinguishable from seagrass.
